I ‘gave’ up McDonald’s and Hungry Jacks (aka Burger King) about a year ago.
Honestly I thought it would kill me. What would I eat when travelling the expansive distances between towns? What would I do for a meal at the airport, or if nothing else was open?
A year since I can happily say giving it up hasn’t killed me. In fact, quite the opposite. I’m still 9 -10kg lighter and happier for it.
This article got me thinking about the commitment I made to ‘give up’ these fast foods and the post I wrote regarding foods that aren’t actually foods.
Give it a read – you will be stunned.

Wow that is amazing!!!!
Hubby and I drive from Sydney to Brisvegas to visit family and we always stop at McDonalds as they generally have clean toilets which, then of course meant because we were stopped we mays well have maccas. It’s a habit I am off now. I try to make sandwiches and freeze them or have an ice bag and keep salad stuff in it.
It’s a good habit to get into! Even buying a sandwich is better than that. I bet next trip you will feel a thousand times better after being stuck in the car and not eating Maccas!
